Jersey is a soft stretchy, knit fabric that was originally made from wool. Today, jersey is also made from cotton, cotton blends, and synthetic fibers. The right side of jersey knit fabric is smooth with a slight single rib knit, while the backside of jersey is piled with loops.
A brushed knit fabric is an extremely soft and comfortable techno-fabric, especially pleasant when worn in direct contact with the skin. The soft brushing process they undergo enhance their thermal insulation properties, creating a sort of protective cushion.
Knitted corduroy jersey is a ribbed stretch fabric that is also called rib-cord. This quality stretch fabric has soft ridges in the width direction of the fabric.
